I grew up in Westminster, California. If Vietnam is the motherland then Westminster is definitely the mothership. My mom and the other amazing cooks in Little Saigon have set a really high bar when it comes to food. My mom is a great feeder but not such a great recipe writer. I have been scrounging the internet to find recipes that will get me close to hers and tweaking these recipes to get it closer to the way my mama made it or to the way that I like. It seems like it is high time for me to write those recipes down and make good on my threats to start a food blog.
